The municipality of Braga has been preparing, since 2018, its candidacy for European Capital of Culture 2027. The Braga Cultura 2030 process involved the mapping, identification, and consultation of the territory's cultural fabric, culminating with the launch of the Cultural Strategy of Braga 2020–2030, an editorial project by OOF Design.
In this book, we tried to reflect the main axes and concepts of the cultural strategy, and leave some clues about the identity that we were preparing for the next phase of the project, the presentation of the graphic identity of Braga's application' 27. The ‘27 apostrophe printed in varnish on the matte paper cover will allow you to sense the passage of time throughout the 2020-2030s.
The book Cultural Strategy of Braga 2020–2030 has a practical format and intuitive navigation, easy to consult. However, it is also an object where the reader can get lost in the various multimedia contents made during the listening process, accessible through QR codes. The book is part of the final selection of 17 books of the year for the 2021 Book Design Award, promoted by DGLAB.
