Contemplação is a magazine published by Braga’27, the candidate city to host the title of European Capital of Culture in 2027. Design by OOF participated in the editorial conception, design, and pagination of this single issue, published in the summer of 2022, where different readings on the concept of the candidacy “Time for Contemplaction” are shared.
We tried to guide the project so that the edition could transpire its summer reading side, as well as its unique character. To achieve this, we opted for a format a little smaller than A4 and a simple production, with the inside stapled to the cover. The Splendorlux and Arena papers, by Fedrigoni, enhance the touch sensation through their contrasting textures.
Contemplação had a unique production of 4 thousand copies and, because we felt it was important to reinforce the human side of this application, we customized manually all the covers, in a scratching session with Posca with our team and Braga’27’s team. The magazine was distributed free of charge to several places in the city of Braga.
