“Do Ferro ao Ouro” Campaign

“Do Ferro ao Ouro” is a cultural program with over 60 shows and dozens of parallel activities, promoted by the municipalities of Esposende, Barcelos and Braga. OOF Design was invited to present a global communication plan for this event, design, webdesign and graphic production, as well as the development of the text, maps, signage, video and photography content.

Our approach was to assign a chromatic code to each program – red for Barcelos, the Middle Ages; blue for Esposende, the Iron Age; gold for Braga, the Baroque – and combine it with a sober and contemporary typographic arrangement. In a complementary way, we resorted to the use of photography and video, with an advertising video, making-of videos, and 21 short videos of heritage sites.

The project, which took place between June and September 2021, had hundreds of visitors and culminated with the publication of a guidebook to visit the 21 heritage sites of these three cities. “21 Historic Treasures” is a pocket guide that allows a journey through the history of these three cities, complementary to the content published on the website and social networks of the event.
