Haja Saúde is a magazine published by students of the Medicine School of Minho University. With more than a decade, its contents contain news, reports, interviews, opinion articles and other topics of interest to the school community. We were recently invited to submit a proposal to its redesign. Our goal was to make it a more cohesive product and increase its visibility.
We started by reorganizing the magazine into four distinct sections: News, People, Opinion and Themes. All editions have a main theme and the covers are illustrated according to this theme. The differentiating language of the illustration was developed, exclusively, for the magazine from paper wastes.
Haja Saúde's new layout enhanced the quality of the magazine, both visually and in content, making it more cohesive and appealing. The new editorial and graphic project increased its visibility and projection. The publication is now a collector’s object, which readers keep for future memory.
